<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-062 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO AMEND <br />THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION <br />PLAN TO ADD TWO NEW FULL TIME CLASSIFICATION TITLES <br />IN THE FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br />DEPARTMENT, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL <br />BUDGET TO REALLOCATE TWO FULL TIME POSITIONS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires <br />the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and <br />pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82- <br />110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation <br />Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />On June 21, 2004, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS- <br />2653 establishing the City's Annual Budget and authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2004-2005. The Ordinance also set forth the <br />requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions must be <br />approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />It is the City's practice to assign job titles that reflect the duties and <br />responsibilities of the classification and are consistent with other <br />classifications within the City's organizational structure as well as with <br />comparable job titles in the labor market. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />The Executive Director of Finance and Management Services proposes to <br />create two (2) new full time classification titles and to reallocate two full time <br />positions to the newly-created titles. <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by adding the following classification titles at the Salary Rate Ranges and <br />effective dates indicated: <br /> <br />6-Step Salarv Rate Ranqe (SRR) Effective: <br />08/01/04 Annual Salary <br />SRR (Min-Max) <br /> <br />Class Title <br /> <br />Website Entry Specialist <br />Web Systems Technician <br /> <br />516 <br />542 <br /> <br />($31,044-39,624) <br />($35,232-44,964 ) <br /> <br />55A-2 <br />
