1972-1973 BUDGET - (Continued)

The proponents of the foregoing motion stated that the amount expended for the
"Newstory" could be put to better use in the community; and that it would pay
for one of the unfunded priority items.

The opponents stated that the "Newstory" provides the residents with news of
the City's activities that would not otherwise be made available; and that it
makes the community more aware of its City government and serves to unify
the City.

The City Attorney reviewed his budget. Councilman Patterson requested that
the Attorney provide the Council with more depth and detail describing his
overall plans and utilization of manpower,

The Council reviewed the Budget on a page-by-page basfs through page 50.

ADJOURNMENT

PIerrin, seconded by Councilman Markel.

At 10:00 P.M., the meeting was
adjourned on the unanimously
carried motion of Councilman

Florence I.
