Impact aquatic, wetland or riparian habitat? <br /> <br />Potentially Significant Unless Mitigation Incorporated <br /> <br />The project site is located in the San Diego Creek/Newport <br />Bay Watershed. Storm water flows from the project site <br />would be conveyed to a series of underground and open storm <br />drain channels, before ultimately discharging into Reach 1 <br />of San Diego Creek. The Santa Ana Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board has identified San Diego Creek as impaired by <br />nutrients, sediments, metals and pesticides. <br /> <br />The primary source of water quality pollutants associated <br />with the operation of the proposed project would be from <br />nuisance flows. Nuisance flows are defined as runoff that <br />occurs during periods that are not usually associated with <br />rainfall, and are most commonly produced from landscaping <br />irrigation, leaking pipes, and water used to wash off <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />75A~~lJ <br />
