CLAIM AGAINST CITY The request of Charles <br />CHARLES MALINOWSKI Malinowski, dated February 9, <br /> 1973, to file a late claim <br />against the City, was denied on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Evans, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. (CA 65.7) <br /> <br />RES. 73-14 Council considered the report <br />BASEBALL FIELDS of the City Manager dated <br /> February 15, 1973, relating <br />to the use of City baseball fields. The report stated that there was presently <br />only one lighted baseball field located in the City, and it was being over-used <br />to the point that adequate maintenance was impossible; that a second lighted <br />field was scheduled to open during the summer, but that over-use may <br />still exist; and that because of these conditions, use of baseball fields <br />should be limited to Santa Aha sponsored baseball teams. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 73-14 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING THE USE OF C'ITY BASEBALL AND <br />SOFTBALL FACILITIES was adopted on motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />seconded by Councilman Evans, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. (CA 52) <br /> <br />SOUTH RE'SERVOIR Council considered the report <br />PARK SITE of the Planning Commission <br /> dated February 13, 1973, and <br />the report of the Board of Recreation and Parks dated January 2.5, 1973, both <br />recommending the acquisition of County Parcel FOZ-308.1 for park purposes. <br /> <br />Council approved a 25-year free lease agreement with the Orange County <br />Flood Control District, and authorized execution of the agreement by the <br />Mayor and Clerk on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. (CA A-73-1~ CA 5Z) <br /> <br />FOURTH STREET TRAFFIC It was moved by CounciLman <br />FRENCH TO GRAND Herrin, seconded by Council- <br /> man Evans and unanimously <br />carried to instruct staff to implement the remedial actions set forth in the <br />Report of the Director of Public Works dated February Z, 1973, relating <br />to traffic conditions on Fourth Street, French to Grand. The matter had <br />been referred to staff on November 6, 197Z. (CA 18.3) <br /> <br />COUNTY REVENUE Council considered the report <br />SHARING PROJECTS of the City Manager, dated <br /> February 9, 1973, relating <br />to Revenue Sharing Projects r~quested for County-City joint funding which <br />had been submitted to the County Administrative Officer to meet the <br />February 12, 1973 deadline. <br /> <br />Council approved the recommendations and ratified their submission to <br />the County Administrative Officer on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />seconded by-Councilman Herrin, and unanimously carried on a 6-0 vote. <br /> <br />Prior to voting, Councilman Markel stated that he would like to have <br />included in the projects completion of work on First Street. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />56 <br /> <br />FEBRUAiIY Z0, 1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
