RECESS <br /> <br />9:15 P.M. with all Council members present. <br /> <br />At 9:10 P.M., a recess <br />was declared, and the <br />meeting reconvened at <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Mayor Herrin stated that <br />WADE M. HERRIN he was in the unique <br /> position of being the first <br />member of Council to be retired under the Charter Amendment voted <br />into actiOn in 1967; that he had attempted in his eight years of Council <br />service to make all of his remarks relative to issues and never to <br />per sonalitie s. <br /> <br />Mr. Herrin summarized his years of service on the Council, and <br />explained his philosophies of government which had been incorporated <br />into such service. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />motion of Councilman Griset, <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> At 9:35 P.M. the meeting <br /> was adjourned to April 10, <br />1973, at 6:00 P.M. on <br />seconded by Councilman Patterson, and <br /> <br />Florence I.
