Prior to voting, the Planning Director stated that one of the conditions <br />of the variance was that the sign be permitted until December 31, <br />1973 or until the last sale of the unsold homes, whichever occurred first, <br />and that this requirement was fully set out in the Planning Commission <br />minutes. (CA 13) <br /> <br />MINOR EXCEPTION 73-8 Minor Exception 73-8, filed <br />SOUTH COAST PLAZA by South Coast Plaza, to <br /> allow on sale liquor in <br />approximately 7 food facilities within a commercial center which is <br />within 300 feet of a residential district, in the C R District at 1675 West <br />Sunflower Avenue, approved by the Planning Cornrnission, was received <br />and filed on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Markel, <br />and carried with Councilman Yamamoto voting NO. Z) <br /> <br />DEEDS WITH CASH On motion of Councilman <br />GRANTEE, CITY Griset, seconded by Council- <br /> man Evans, and carried <br />with Councilman Markel V'oting NO, Council approved the following deeds <br />and authorized the Mayor to sign all necessary documents in connection <br />with the purchase: <br /> <br />PACIFIC OUTDOOR ADVERTISING COMPANY', north <br />side of First, east side of Daisy, street purposes. <br />(CA 155; Deed 5196) <br /> <br />PACIFIC, OUTDOOR ADVERTISING COMPANY, north <br />side of First, east side of Western, street purposes. <br />(CA 155; Deed 5197) <br /> <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY REPORT Councilman Yamamoto's <br />PARKING METERS AND POSTS motion to declare surplus <br /> the parking meters and posts <br />described in the report of the Director of Public Works dated March 27, <br />1973, and to authorize the Purchasing Agent to dispose of them in accordance <br />with approved procedures, was seconded by Councilman Griset, subse- <br />quently withdrawn, and replaced by a motion to authorize their sale subject <br />to final approval by Council of the terms of the sale, and carried with <br />Councilmen Patterson and Evans dissenting. <br /> <br />Prior to voting, Councilman Evans stated that he felt the meters and posts <br />should be retained by the City pending action on certain downtown redevelop- <br />ment matters and that they might possibly be used for an eventual parking <br />area in the downtown area. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 104 APRIL Z, 1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
