AGENDA ORDER In the interest of time <br /> problems, Council agreed <br /> by unanimous informal <br /> consent to consider Agenda <br />Items 56, 58, 10 E and 55, in that order, and continue Items <br />57, 59, 60, 61 and 62, to the evening session. <br /> <br />PROJECT T-3041 <br />EXTEND BID <br />OPENING DATE <br /> <br />Council extended the bid opening date <br />August 7, 1973 to an appropriate date <br />on the following project: <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman <br />Ward, seconded by Council- <br />man Evans, and unanimously <br />carried on a 6 - 0 vote, <br />originally scheduled for <br />to be established by staff <br /> <br />PROJECT T-3041 (194) - Widen Bristol Street <br />between Martha Lane and 21st Street with traffic <br />signal modifications at Bristol and 17th Streets. <br /> <br />(CA 89) <br /> <br />SERVICE STATION Council considered the <br />STUDY AND ORDINANCE reports of the City Attorney <br /> and Planning Director <br /> dated July 31, 1973, <br />regarding the proposed abandoned service station ordinance. <br /> <br />Following discussion, Council referred the matter to staff, <br />and instructed the City Attorney to draft an ordinance for Council <br />consideration requiring Conditional Use Permits for service stations. <br />(CA 13.la) <br /> <br />TENTATIVE PARCEL A motion made by Council- <br />MAP 823 man Evans, seconded by <br />W. E. PATTERSON Councilman Griset to approve <br /> Tentative Parcel Map No. <br />823, filed by W. E. Patterson, creating two M 1 parcels; Parcel <br />number 1 for a service station and Parcel number 2 for warehouse <br />uses; located generally on the southeast corner of Fifth Street <br />and Fairview Street, and waive the alley requirement, failed to <br />carry on the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Evans, Griset, Markel <br /> <br />NOES: Ward, Patterson, Yamamoto <br /> <br />ABSENT: Garthe <br /> <br />Prior to voting on the motion, a substitute motion made by <br />Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ward, to refer <br />the matter to staff for report to Council in two weeks, failed <br />to carry on the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Griset, Evans, Markel <br /> <br />NOES: Yamamoto, Ward, Patterson <br /> <br />ABSENT: Garthe <br /> <br />Upon the advice of the City Attorney, recommendation of staff <br />was accepted by Council as the deciding vote, and Tentative <br />Parcel Map No. 823 was approved, subject to conditions contained <br />in the Planning Director's Report.
