Iss 11/9/2004 Resolution No. 2004-085 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE URBAN PARKS AND HEALTHY COMMUNITIES PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. The people of the State of California have enacted the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002, which provides funds to the State of California for grants to eligible applicants; and B. The State Urban Parks and Healthy Communities Program has been established under the Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002, to provide grant funds to develop neighborhood, community and regional parks and recreation areas. C. The California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated responsibility for the administration of the State Urban Parks and Healthy Communities Program, setting up necessary procedures governing project application under the program; and D. Said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, require the City Council to certify by resolution the approval of the Application before submission of said Application to the State; and E. Project. The City will enter into a Contract with the State of California for the Section 2. The City Council approves the filing of an application for $900,000 in local assistance funds from the State Urban Parks and Healthy Communities Program under the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and 21 B-2
