RES. 73-120 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CIVIC CENTER DRIVE CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING <br /> CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FOR EXTENDING CIVIC CENTER DRIVE was deleted from the Agenda on <br />the advice of the City Attorney, on motion of Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Councilman Garthe, and unanimously carried. (CA 71) <br /> <br />RES. 73-122 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />VACATION - PORTION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />OF NEWHOPE STREET SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP <br /> AND DECLARING INTENTION TO <br />VACATE A PORTION OF NEWHOPE STREET APPROXIMATELY 300' EAST OF <br />THE SANTA ANA RIVER ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD <br />was adopted on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Griset, and carried on the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Evans, Griset, Markel, Garthe, Yamamoto, <br />Patterson, Ward <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None (CA 14) <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX DEEDED Council considered a letter <br />PROPERTY from the Orange County Tax <br /> Collector dated October 4, <br /> 1973, enclosing a copy of <br />a Resolution of the Board of Supervisors dated September 25, <br />1973, and requesting consent for sale of certain tax deeded <br />property located in the City. <br /> <br />Because staff had determined that the property set forth in the <br />Resolution was of no interest to the City, Council consented to <br />the sale on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans, and unanimously carried. (CA 45.3) <br /> <br />CITY OF PETALUMA Council considered a letter <br /> from the City of Petaluma <br /> dated September 14, 1973, <br /> requesting financial <br />support for defense of a lawsuit against the City of Petaluma <br />relating to their plan for the orderly, non-chaotic growth of <br />their city. <br /> <br />Council referred the letter to the City Attorney for a report on <br />motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Markel, and <br />carried, with Councilman Markel dissenting. <br /> <br />The City Attorney stated that he would have a report for Council <br />at the November S meeting. (CA 78) <br /> <br />PROPOSITION 1 Council considered a letter <br />SPECIAL ELECTION, dated October 1, 1973, <br />NOVEMBER 6 from Bob Moretti, urging <br /> Council to take a firm <br />anti-Proposition 1 position with regard to the Special Statewide <br />Election on November 6, 1973. Council had also been provided <br />with pro-Proposition 1 material from Assemblyman Robert H.
