(CA 68.6) <br /> <br />CERTIFICATES OF Council considered the <br />CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY Report and Proposed <br />TAXICABS Decision of the Hearing <br /> Officer dated October 3, <br />1973, on the applications for Public Convenience and Necessity <br />to operate taxicabs in the City filed by Gordon Wiggins dba <br />Blue-White Cab Company, and C & S Tours, Inc., dba Quick Cab <br />Company. <br /> <br />On the following motion by Councilman Evans, seconded by Council- <br />man Ward, Council unanimously: 1) Received the report; 2) Set <br />Monday, November 5, 1973, at 4:00 P.M. as the time to consider <br />the Hearing Officer's Report and Proposed Decision; and 3) <br />Instructed the Clerk to notify all interested parties in accordance <br />with Section 38-7b of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. (CA 26.5; <br />CA 26.7) <br /> <br />F-09 STORM DRAIN PROJECT Council considered the <br />REDHILL AVENUE report of the Director of <br /> Public Works dated Octo- <br /> ber 4, 1973, relating to <br />the F-09 Storm Drain Project in Redhill Avenue between Barranca <br />Road and Bell Avenue, recommended by the City for inclusion <br />within the Public Works and Economic Development Act (EDA) pro- <br />gram administered through the County of Orange. <br /> <br />Councilman Evans' motion, seconded by Councilman Garthe, to <br />approve the proposed F-09 Storm Drain project in Redhill Avenue <br />between Barranca Road and Bell Avenue and to make a commitment <br />to appropriate $15,000.00 as the City's share of the project <br />cost, unanimously carried. (CA 70) ~ <br /> <br />SOLICITATION APPLICATION Council considered the <br />PRIDE report of the Police Chief <br /> dated October 11, 1973, <br /> relating to an Application <br />to Solicit Funds filed by Pride Equals Respectability and <br />Equality, Inc. The application had been continued from September <br />17, 1973 and October 1, 1973, pending receipt of additional <br />information from applicant. <br /> <br />Council approved the application of PRIDE EQUALS RESPECTABILITY <br />& EQUALITY, INC., for sale of candy, for a period of 60 days, to <br />finance youth activities within the City for those local youths <br />who have become members of Pride in the City, on-motion of <br />Councilman Garthe, seconded by Councilman Markel, and carried on <br />the following vote: <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 379 OCTOBER 15,'1973 <br /> <br /> <br />
