<br />A list of locations where graffiti has been removed shall be submitted by Contractor to the City <br />on a weekly basis, or on other such schedule as requested. This list shall indicate the address of <br />each work site, the number of square feet involved at each site, the method used and the cost <br />estimate per work site. A representative of the Public Works Agency shall verify the existence <br />and removal of graffiti on the sites as well as the cost of removal. The properties will be <br />inspected for approval within five (5) working days of completion as notified by Contractor. <br /> <br />PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />As a prerequisite to payment, Contractor shall submit by the thirtieth (30th) day of each month <br />the following: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />An original invoice setting forth the location of each completed job, the method of <br />removal and cost. <br />Consent forms executed by property owners or tenants. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PROTECTION AND RESTORATION OF EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all improvements adjacent to the work, such <br />as sprinkler systems, drain pipes, lawns, plantings, brick work, masonry, fences, walls, <br />sidewalks, street paving, etc., located on either public or private property. If any improvements <br />are removed or damaged, other than those designed for removal, then such improvements shall <br />be replaced in kind at Contractor's expense. <br /> <br />TARGET STREETS <br /> <br />Contractor shall inspect all main arterials, east to west and north to south, and abate all major <br />graffiti. Contractor shall direct his efforts at removing graffiti from buildings, fences and other <br />large structures. Contractor shall not remove graffiti from utility boxes or poles. Once this is <br />complete, Contractor shall respond to all requests to abate graffiti in City neighborhoods. <br /> <br />WORK BY CITY FORCES BECAUSE OF NONCONFORMANCE TO CONTRACT <br /> <br />Should Contractor fail to correct deficiencies or public nuisances that have been created because <br />of his operation, such deficiencies will be considered to be an emergency nature and cause for <br />City to take corrective action. Such work will be done on a force account basis with an <br />additional callout charge of $75.00 for each callout. A minimum two (2) hour labor charge will <br />be added to any callout. <br /> <br />GRAFFITI ABATEMENT RECORD <br /> <br />Prior to Contractor abating gang graffiti, he shall complete a graffiti abatement form listing the <br />date, time, location, square footage and other pertinent data. In addition, the contractor shall take <br />a "before" color photograph of the location and attach it to the form. The completed forms shall <br />be submitted for verification on a weekly basis and prior to any reimbursement by the City. <br /> <br />9 <br />
