RESOLUTION 74-26 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />OPEN SPACE EASEMENT CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SANTA ANA, ACCEPTING <br /> A GRANT OF AN OPEN <br />SPACE EASEMENT FROM THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE PURSUANT TO <br />SECTION SLOSS OF THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE was adopted <br />on the unanimously approved motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Yamamoto. (A-74-7; CA 15S, Deed No. S368) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 74-23 Mayor Patterson suggested <br />GASOLINE RATIONING that Council review its <br /> action taken on RESOLU- <br /> TION 74-23 regarding <br />gasoline rationing at its afternoon meeting. He asked if any- <br />one who voted in opposition to the resolution would care to <br />request its reconsideration. The consensus of Council was <br />that the resolution required revision. It was referred to staff <br />for redrafting on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by <br />Councilman Yamamoto, and carried, with Councilman Markel dissent- <br />ing. (CA 145.5) <br /> <br />WAFFLE HOUSE Richard Curtis, Attorney <br /> in Los Angeles, and <br /> resident of 18505 Clyde <br /> Park Avenue, Cerritos, <br />asked the City to postpone its action to demolish the Waffle <br />House and to extend the April 1 time limit until such time <br />as the American Institute of Architects could be contacted and <br />requested to consider its preservation for historical purposes. <br />He stated that he had already been in communication with the <br />State Preservation Chairman and the Orange County Chairman for <br />Historical Preservation of the A.I.A., but that more time was <br />needed to determine whether or not the groups would take a <br />stand and authorize funding for the preservation of the Waffle <br />House. <br /> <br />Betty Biner, 628 East Chestnut, stated that the Antique Sale <br />would not be held, but that there was still interest in having <br />7th Street blocked off for an Open House to be held March 3. <br />An invitation was extended to Council to attend the Open House. <br />(CA 8S.ld) <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned <br /> at 10:10 P.M., on the <br /> unanimously approved <br /> motion of Councilman <br />Griset, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />79 FEBRUARY 25, 1974 <br /> <br /> <br />
