An analysis of non-housing <br />community resources will also be undertaken. Socioeconomic and <br />demographic data on housing, homeless, and non-homeless special <br />needs populations will be compiled and analyzed. Data sources may <br />include nonprofit service providers, regional, state and federal <br />governmental agencies, private businesses concerns, and City <br />departments (all data sources will be cited). Once data has been <br />collected, narratives will be crafted that will specifically address each <br />element required by HUD, and which will serve as the foundation for the <br />City's long-range strategic planning efforts. In an effort to make data <br />more useful tables and graphs will be utilize to depict and/or compare <br />data elements. <br /> <br />Once priority needs analyses have been completed (i.e., Community <br />Needs Survey, public workshops, and data research) a series of goal <br />and objective statements will be developed. MLI will utilize the table <br />formats prescribed by HUD. MLI will work closely with City staff to <br />identify current and/or new programs that can be utilized to address <br />priority needs and establish five-year goals to close identified needs <br />gaps. MLI will also assist the City develop performance measurements <br />that are compliant with HUD Notice CPD 03-09. <br /> <br />2.
