RESOLUTION 74-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />LOCAL OPTION CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />OBSCENITY LAWS CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> DIRECTING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO SEND A LETTER OF SOLICITATION TO THE CITIES OF <br />ORANGE COUNTY, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, AND THE LEAGUE <br />OF CALIFORNIA CITIES URGING THAT THEY JOIN US IN SOLICITING <br />THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO ENACT LEGISLATION ESTABLISHING <br />"LOCAL" COMMUNITY STANDARDS IN PLACE OF "STATEWIDE" STANDARDS <br />IN JUDGING ALLEGED OBSCENE MATTER; AND ALSO URG%NG THAT THE <br />STATE LEGISLATURE PASS AN ENABLING LAW GIVING CITIES THE <br />"LOCAL OPTION" TO ENACT THEIR OWN OBSCENITY LAWS CONSISTENT <br />WITH THE TEST SET FORTH IN THE RECENT SUPREME COURT CASE OF <br />MILLER V CALIFORNIA was adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, with dissenting votes <br />by Councilmen Ward and Markel and Mayor Patterson. CCA 153.7) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-44 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />BENEFITS CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> URGING THE CALIFORNIA <br />LEGISLATURE TO ADOPT LEGISLATION PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN <br />WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION BENEFITS SHALL BE LIMITED TO RETIRED <br />PUBLIC EMPLOYEES WHOSE INJURIES DEVELOPED AND MANIFESTED <br />THEMSELVES DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR EMPLOYMENT was adopted <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Evans, <br />with dissenting vote by Councilman Markel. CA 88.10 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-45 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />PROGRAM - CIVIC CENTER DRIVE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> REQUESTING THE COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FROM ITS ARTERIAL <br />HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM FUND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIC <br />CENTER DRIVE FROM BIRCH STREET TO MINTER STREET was adopted <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />with dissenting vote by Councilman Evans. ~A 29.4a) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-47 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />FEES FOR MISCELLANEOUS CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />SALES AND SERVICES CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> AMENDING FEES FOR <br />MISCELLANEOUS SALES AND SERVICES was referred to staff and <br />Board of Recreation and Parks for recommendation on tennis <br />court fees on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Council- <br />man Garthe, and unanimously carried.. (EA 65) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-50 A RESOLUTION OF TH~ <br />ADDING CLASS TITLES CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RES.
