He s-~te--~-- <br />that it is a waste of taxpayers money and a disguise for <br />political promotion; and that unless something is done, he <br />intends to go before the Grand Jury and the District Attorney's <br />office. In particular he objected to the most recent issue of <br />the News Story which featured a story on the Redevelopment <br />Commission Chairman, Bill Hill, who is also a candidate for <br />the State Assembly. (CA 1S2.4) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Loren Norton, 1~32 <br />SANTA ANA NEWS STORY Griset Street, spoke <br /> against, the Santa Aha <br /> News Story also. He <br />too stated that it's a waste of taxpaye-~ money and should be <br />abolished. <br /> <br />A motion by Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Markel to <br />discontinue the Santa Ana News Story failed on the following <br />roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Evans, Markel, Garthe <br />NOES: Griset, Ward, Patterson, Yamamoto <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Mr. Joseph Gilmaker, 308 West 4th Street, addressed Council <br />and stated that those who receive the News Story should pay <br />for it; and that it should not be tax supported.
