ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Loren Norton <br />NEWS STORY addressed Council again, <br /> stating that the next <br /> time he brought up the <br />matter of the News Story he would have four affirmative votes for <br />discontuance or it would be through the constitutional process. <br />(CA 152.4) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Joseph Gilmaker, <br />BUILDING PERMIT 12412 Lee Lane, Garden <br />MORATORIUM Grove, stated that he <br /> would like to make a few <br />comments regarding Ordinance NS 1205, declaring a 90-day <br />moratorium on building permits in a portion of the Redevelop- <br />ment Project Area, which had been adopted as an emergency <br />ordinance in the afternoon. He stated that the area of the <br />moratorium encompassed a large area of land which could be <br />developed by private enterprise; that the public should be <br />allowed to vote on the matter of a transportation terminal <br />and a public transportation system; and that mini-buses are <br />more economical for public transportation and would not need <br />the subsidization that the larger ones require. (CA 84.5; <br />CA 82A) <br /> <br />COUNCIL CRITIQUE Mr. Art Jacques, 1525 <br /> Portola, addressed <br /> Council, and stated <br /> that Council wasn't <br />responsive to the citizens and that City bureaucracy is <br />increasing. (CA 80) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Albert Nelson, <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS 1540 West Ball Road, <br /> Anaheim, questioned <br /> the time limit involved <br />in possible redevelopment project insofar as it would affect <br />his property located at 413 West 5th Street, Santa Ana. The <br />City Manager replied that there would be many, many months of <br />notice to property owners regarding any proposals for redevelop- <br />ment. (CA 82A) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman ~ard was <br />BOWERS MUSEUM concerned about the loss <br /> of the balcony on the <br /> Bowers Museum and how <br />it will affect the aesthetics. He requested that the Museum <br />Board review the matter. The City Manager stated that he <br />would request the Museum Board to review its needs and report <br />back on the future use of the balcony. (CA 85) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Evans re- <br />BUILDING CORRECTION quested that the <br /> Director of Public <br /> Works communicate with <br />the owner of the property at 1009 North Ross Street to see <br />what arrangements can be made to correct flooding of under~ <br />ground parking at that location.
