CHANGE IN FREQUENCY The letter dated May 6, <br />OF COUNCIL MEETINGS 1974, from Councilman <br /> Ward, and reply by Council- <br /> man Markel dated May 9, <br />1974, were considered by Council. After some discussion and <br />deliberation, Councilman Ward moved that the matter be continued <br />to the next meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Evans, and unanimously carried. CCA 80) <br /> <br />SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT The oral report to be <br />POLICY IN INDUSTRIAL presented to Council by <br />AREAS the Director of Public <br /> Works was continued to <br />the June 3 meeting by informal unanimous consent. <br /> <br />SUBDIVISION OF PROPERTY The letter dated May 15, <br />914 & 916 WEST CAMILE 1974, from Mr. Roger A. <br /> Grable, Attorney, 401 <br /> Civic Center Drive W~st, <br />Santa Ana regarding the application of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Eby <br />to subdivide 914 and 916 West Camile, requesting that the matter <br />be deleted from the Council Agenda was considered by Council. <br />The applicants' request for deletion from Council Agenda was <br />approved on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Markel, and unanimously carried. (CA 78) <br /> <br />SANTA ANA FREEWAY The report dated <br />& 17TH STREET May 15, 1974, from <br />INTERCHANGE MODIFICATION the Director of Public <br /> Works, regarding <br />Santa Aha Freeway - Seventeenth Street Freeway Agreement <br />for Interchange Modification was considered by Council. <br />Council set the matter for Public Hearing on June lY~ 1974 <br />at 7:30 P.M., on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by. <br />Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously carried, fiCA 29.10~ <br /> <br />BALLOT PROPOSITIONS <br />JUNE 4, 1974 ELECTION <br /> <br />Ballot Propositions for June 4, <br />by Council. <br /> <br /> The report dated <br /> May 15~ 1974~ from <br /> the Assistant City <br />Manager, regarding <br />1974 Election, was considered <br /> <br />Councilman Markel stated that in his opinion Councilmen should <br />not make any kind of a recommendation, and that it was not a <br />proper matter for Council Action. <br /> <br />Voting proceeded as follows: <br /> <br />Proposition 5, which would extend allowable uses of vehicles <br />fees and fuel tax revenues to include public mass transit, <br />was supported by Council, on motion of Councilman Ward, <br />seconded by Councilman Griset, and carried with Councilman <br />Markel dissenting. <br /> <br />Proposition 2-a, a bond issue of 250 million dollars for w~ter <br />pollution control, was supported by Council, on motion of <br />Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried <br />with Councilman Markel dissenting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 182 MAY 20, 1974 <br /> <br /> <br />
