(CA 65B) <br /> <br />PROPOSED BUDGET Councilman Evans sum- <br />FISCAL YEAR 1974-75 marized his reaction to <br /> the proposed Budget, <br /> indicating that he did <br />not favor a loan of the Parking Meter Fund; payment to boards <br />and commissions; gas allowance for Council; Public Information <br />Officer position; publication of the News Story; and the <br />Assistant to the Mayor position. He s--~ed that he was in favor <br />of a two per cent decrease in the Fire Department budget; a <br />five per cent decrease in the City Attorney's budget; and a <br />freeze on filling clerical positions unless it is a specialized <br />one. <br /> <br />The City Manager reviewed a proposal for imposition of a sani- <br />tation fee. <br /> <br />The Council concluded its review of the proposed Budget, and <br />requested the City Manager to prepare a summary of final <br />balancing proposals, including a sanitation fee ordinance, <br />which would generate $225,000 additional revenue, and proposed <br />increases and decreases, based on Council discussions to date, <br />to be presented at an adjourned meeting at 12:00 Noon, July 15, <br />1974. (CA 65B) <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION At 11:40 A.M., Council <br /> recessed for an Executive <br /> Session to consider <br /> personnel and legal <br />matters.
