TRAFFIC The Public Works Director <br /> reported that the location <br /> of the driveway clearance <br /> zone referred to in the <br />Report of Traffic Control Devices Removed or Installed from <br />July 30 through August 13, 1974, is on Bristol Street, north <br />of Hemlock Way in front of Mercy General Hospital, and the <br />earlier motion (Minutes page 304) of Councilman Griset, seconded <br />by Councilman Evans to receive and file the report carried <br />unanimously. (CA 18.3a) <br /> <br />USE OF PUBLIC Administrative approval <br />PROPERTY of the Application <br />DOREE ARKINSTALL for Use of Public Property <br /> dated August 15, 1974, <br />submitted by Doree Arkinstall, to use Jack Fisher Park for <br />a teeter-totter marathon from 10:00 A.M. August 20 to 10:00 <br />A.M. August 26, 1974, was ratified, on motion of Councilman <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and carried unanimously. <br />(CA 4S. 1) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-135 RESOLUTION NO. 74-135 <br />REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR was considered by title <br />SALARY only on motion of Council- <br /> man Ward, seconded by <br />Councilman Evans, and carried with Councilman Markel voting NO. <br /> <br />The title was read aloud by the Mayor, and Council adopted the <br />following resolution on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded <br />by Councilman Yamamoto and carried, with dissenting votes by <br />Councilmen Evans and Markel: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 74-135 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SJaNTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESO- <br />LUTION NO. 58-281 TO RBALLOCATE THE CLASSIFICATION <br />OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR-REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO A MORE <br />EQUITABLE SALARY RANGE. (CA 50.1; CA 82.4) <br /> <br />BUILDING AND FIRE As requested in a <br />CODE REQUIREMENTS letter dated August 15, <br />825 NORTH ROSS STREET 1974 from the appellant, <br /> Council set for Public <br />Hearing on September 9, 1974 the Appeal of Robert Battin <br />concerning Building and Fire Code requirements pertaining <br />to occupancy of a building located at 825 North Ross Street, <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />and carried with dissenting vote by Councilman Evans. (CA 87.1) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Yamamoto <br />FIREWORKS suggested a Staff <br /> study and report <br /> regarding prohibition <br />of "safe and sane" fireworks in the City.
