(CA 50; <br /> <br />CA 47) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mr. Donald Drew, Attorney <br />POTATO BIN representing Mr. and Mrs. <br /> George Fisher, owners of <br /> the "Potato Bin", 1605 <br />West First Street, stated that he had filed, with the Clerk <br />of the Council, an appeal from the conditions attached to the <br />issuance of a building permit to enclose the patio area. <br />Council had been provided with copies. <br /> <br />Mr. Drew stated that the request was in the nature of an <br />emergency because of the continued problem of burglaries; <br />that there is great concern over the possible cancellation <br />of insurance; and that certain land dedications are required <br />to obtain the building permit which in this particular case <br />do seem logical. <br /> <br />Councilman Yamamoto's motion, seconded by Councilman Griset, <br />to set the matter for hearing on November 18, was unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />Police Chief Davis suggested that a solution to the burglaries <br />was possible through a portable alarm system; and invited <br />Mr. Drew to telephone him in the morning to make arrangements <br />for installation.
