<br />Agreement with the Police Management Association <br />February 7, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />4 . <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Dental Premium Contributions: <br /> <br />March 1, 2005 = $80/month (family) <br />January 1, 2006 = $90/month (family) <br />January 1, 2007 = $100/month (family) <br />January 1, 2008 = $110/month (family) <br />January 1, 2005 = Maintain 100% <br />"employee only" rate <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Retiree Medical Insurance: July 1, 2006 = additional City contribution <br />of .5%. <br /> <br />Include Career Development Pay: Effective July 1, 2005 = Employees <br />may earn Career Development Pay for completion of the following <br />programs: <br />2.5% for PERF Senior Management Institute for Police <br />2.5% for West Point Leadership Program <br />5% for FBI National Academy <br />5% for California Command College <br />Employees are limited to no more than 7.5% total for completion <br />of any of the above referenced programs. <br /> <br />PERS: Maintain existing PERS cost sharing language (1.42%) for safety <br />members for term of Agreement. If the City's rate drops below 1.42%, <br />agree to reopen discussions. <br /> <br />Vacation Cash Option: July 1, 2005 = Forty (40) hours cash conversion <br />option of either longevity vacation or regular vacation. <br /> <br />Non-Sworn Classification/Compensation Study: Effective as soon as <br />practicable following Council approval of this Agreement, the City <br />shall conduct an internal study. <br /> <br />Sick Leave: Effective January 1, 2005 = Increase sick leave <br />accumulation hours by four hundred (400) hours. Additional hours to <br />be only for use and not for cashout at retirement or resignation. <br /> <br />Work Week Schedule : Effective July 1, <br />alternative 4/10 workweek schedule for <br />Commanders. <br /> <br />Reopen <br />other <br /> <br />to discuss <br />than Watch <br /> <br />2006 = <br />managers <br /> <br />Attendance: Effective with Council approval <br />less than two (2) hours need not be recorded. <br /> <br />= Occasional absences <br /> <br />"Working" Title Changes: Effective with Council approval = Police <br />Captains may use the working title of "Deputy Police Chief" and <br />Lieutenants may use the working title of "Police Commander" on an <br />unofficial basis. <br /> <br />25J-2 <br />
