A prior motion by Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Mayor <br />Evans, to approve the form of a proposed agreement between <br />the City and various Little League teams for use of City <br />park facilities for the Little League baseball programs, <br />was withdrawn by the maker with the consent of the second. <br />Still another motion by Councilman Griset, seconded by <br />Councilman Markel, to refer the matter back to staff, was <br />withdrawn by the maker and second. <br /> <br />The Council consensus was that the proposed agreement form <br />was too stringent and would discourage Little League <br />interest and participation; and that the provision relating <br />to liability insurance was all that the City required from <br />the groups using the park facilities. CA 52 <br /> <br />PROPOSED STREET On motion by <br />NAME CHANGE Councilman Griset, <br />SUNFLOWER TO WAKEHAM seconded by <br /> Councilman Ward, <br />the Council approved in principle the street name change <br />recommended by the Planning Commission, from Sunflower <br />Avenue to Wakeham Place, and referred the matter to staff <br />for procedural processing. The approval was unanimous. CA <br /> <br />29.2 <br /> <br />PROPOSED CUL-DE-SAC The Council set <br />ROUSELLE STREET the matter of a <br />AT WARNER AVENUE proposed cul-de-sac <br /> of Rousselle Street <br />at Warner Avenue for public hearing on February 18, 1975, <br />on the unanimously approved motion of Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Councilman Ward. CA 29.1 <br /> <br />BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE Councilman Bricken <br />COUNCIL LIAISON was appointed <br />GORDON BRICKEN unanimously by <br /> the City Council <br />as its Liaison Representative to the Bicentennial Committee <br />on motion by Councilman Garthe, seconded by Councilman <br />Yamamoto. CA 42.5 <br /> CA 80.1 <br /> <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE FOR A proposed ordinance <br />DISPOSITION OF regarding the disposal <br />UNCLAIMED PROPERTY of unclaimed property <br /> (Municipal Code <br />Section 2-705) was approved in principle on motion of Coun- <br />cilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto and carried <br />4-3, with Councilmen Ward and Bricken and Mayor Evans <br />dissenting. The Ordinance will be prepared and placed <br />on the February 18 Council Agenda for first reading. CA 45 <br /> <br />PETITION FOR REMOVAL Staff was instructed <br />OF BARRICADE ON to do the following <br />RAITT STREET AT ALTON in response to a <br /> petition request <br />received by Council on January 20, 1975, from the residents <br />of the Summerfield Homes, on motion of Councilman Griset, <br />seconded by Mayor Evans and carried, with Councilmen Ward <br />and Bricken dissenting: <br /> <br />Continue its process of application to the Public <br />Utilities Commission for the approval of new high- <br />way grade crossings for Raitt Street and Bear Street; <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 50 FEBRUARY 3, 1975 <br /> <br /> <br />
