CONSULTANT will produce a complete project definition following these proposed basic <br />steps: " <br />);- Definition ofIssues <br />);- CenterLine Summit No. I <br />);- Public Route Segment Meetings <br />);- Technical Studies <br />);- Meetings with AUTHORlTY Committees (Transit Planning and Operations, Policy <br />Working Group, City Mangers, and Technical Steering Committee) <br />);- Milestone Reports presenting the results of the studies <br />);- AUTHORITY Hearings and Decisions <br />. CONSULTANT anticipates both alignment and station area planning to be required in each <br />of the six route segments, as outlined in this section. Further engineering and architectural <br />work would be carried out under CONSULTANT Schedule of Values TasKs 4.01 through <br />4.06 and PE 9., respectively, after the project definition phase is complete. <br />. The starting point for these special studies will be the Locally Preferred Alternative (LP A), <br />selected by AUTHORITY Board on October 22, 2001 and documented in the Milestone 7 <br />Report. <br /> <br />-.-. <br />'. , <br /> <br />Segment Studies, Schedule of Values Task 4.07, is broken out as sub-tasks in <br />paragraphs as they were presented in CONSULTANT's technical proposal. <br /> <br />the following <br /> <br />Task 4.07.01 Segment 1 - Central Santa Ana , <br />The alignment and station locations require further study to refine the alignment proposed by the <br />City and included in the selected LPA. The work will focus on: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Analysis of up to three (3) alternative configurations for the one-way rail couplet in <br />downtown Santa Ana. The analysis would consider transit operations, traffic, c'osts, <br />neighborhood fit, and new demand modeling to test one or two configurations. ' <br />Station locations and station area planning for the Santa Ana Regional Transportation <br />Center, Santa Ana Downtown (Main Street) and Civic Center (Flower Street) stations. <br />Analysis of alternative configurations at Bristol Street/Santa Ana Boulevard, including <br />a potential northern extension to Santa Ana College and accommodation of future <br />extensions to the west. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br /><0-"" <br /> <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br />.
