In answer to the questions of the three property owners, listed <br />above, Mr. Burk stated that the State has agreed to make every <br />effort to construct a wall early in the project which will screen <br />the residents from the noise of the heavy construction work; that <br />Mr. Marley's house can be relocated on his lot; and Mr. Wolford <br />explained that the traffic flow in all directions had been taken <br />into consideration and discussed at length at previous public <br />hearings, <br /> <br />There being no further speakers, the Mayor closed the Public <br />Hearing. <br /> <br />The revised Freeway Agreement relating to the construction of <br />the Broadway Overpass and associated work between the City and <br />the State Department of Transportation was approved; and the <br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute the Agreement on <br />the motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />and carried (6-1), with Councilman Brandt dissenting. A-75-39 <br /> <br />NATIONAL INTERIM The May $, 197S report <br />DRINKING WATER STANDARDS from the Director of <br /> Public Works evaluating <br /> the impact of the <br />National Interim Primary Drinking Water Standards on the <br />City of Santa Aha was received and filed on the motion of <br />Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward, and unanimously <br />(Tr0) carried.. The Director reported that the City's water <br />supply meets and complies with the present and proposed <br />standards. CA 12 <br /> <br />PARTICIPATION IN The invitation, to <br />WASTE MANAGEMENT participate in the <br />PLANNING AGENCY Newport-Irvine Waste <br /> Management Planning <br />Agency was declined, and staff was directed to inform the <br />Agency that the City of Santa Ana is interested in membership <br />on the proposed Land Use Committee, on the motion of Council- <br />man Evans, seconded by Councilman Bricken, and carried (7-0). <br />The motion followed Council's review of the May 27, 197S <br />report from the Director of Public Works.
