PUBLIC HEARING - CERTIFICATE Vice Mayor Vernon <br />OF CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY FOR S. Evans announced <br />ONE AMBULANCE, DOCTOR'S AMBULANCE that this was the <br />SERVICE time and place fixed <br /> for the public <br />hearing of the application made by Bruce Wayne Herrin <br />doing business as Doctor's Ambulance Service for the <br />operation of one ambulance in the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />The applicant concurred with the finding of the Hearing <br />Officer, Robert Polls, submitted to Council, recommending <br />the issuance of the Certificate of Convenience. <br /> <br />Persons speaking in opposition to the Certificate were: <br /> <br />Mike Rodinez, 2024 S. Wood, new owner of <br /> Conva-Care Ambulance <br /> <br />Jeffry Levinson, 13842 Gershon Place, former <br /> owner of Conva-Care Ambulance <br /> <br />The opposition was based on the belief that the City is <br />adequately served by the present ambulances. <br /> <br />There being no further speakers, the Vice Mayor closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />The Clerk was directed to issue a Certificate of Convenience <br />and Necessity to Bruce Wayne Herrin doing business as <br />Doctor's Ambulance Service to operate one Ambulance in <br />the City of Santa Ana on the motion of Councilman Ward, <br />seconded by Councilman Ortiz and carried (4-0) unanimously. <br /> <br />CA 96 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Vice Mayor Vernon <br />APPEAL NO 351 - VA 75-35 S. Evans announced <br /> that this was the <br /> time and place fixed <br />for the hearing of Appeal No. 351 - VA 75-35.. Appellant <br />Robert Moore, was granted a continuance to September 2, 1975 <br />as requested, on the motion of Councilman Ortiz, seconded <br />by Councilman Yamamoto and carried (4-0) unanimously. <br /> <br />CA 13.3 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - WEED, RUBBISH Vice Mayor Vernon <br />AND GARBAGE ABATEMENT ASSESSMENTS S. Evans announced <br /> that this was the <br /> time and place for <br />the public hearing of assessments for the 1975 spring <br />program of weed, rubbish and garbage abatement. <br /> <br />There being no objections to the assessments in the report <br />of the Director of Public Works dated July 28, 1975, the <br />public hearing was closed and the following Resolution was <br />adopted on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by <br />Councilman Ward, and unanimously (4-0) carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 75-108 - A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OVER- <br />RULING OBJECTIONS TO AND CONFIRMING THE REPORT <br />OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS PERTAINING TO <br />THE COSTS OF WEED, RUBBISH AND GARBAGE ABATE- <br />MENT; MAKING, CONFIRMING, AND LEVYING ASSESS- <br />MENTS FOR SUCH COSTS; AND ORDERING A COPY <br />THEREOF TO BE FILED WITH THE COUNTY AUDITOR, <br />ASSESSOR AND TAX COLLECTOR. <br /> <br />CA 11.1 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 343 AUGUST 4, 1975 <br /> <br /> <br />
