Main <br />Street; hearing was continued to August 18, 1975, on the <br />motion fo Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman <br />Ward and unanimously (4-0) carried. <br /> <br />CA 15 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - VACATION OF ALLEY RESOLUTION NO. 75-106, <br />BETWEEN FOURTH AND FIFTH STREETS AND A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />FRENCH AND MORTIMER STREETS CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ORDERING THE VACATION OF AN EAST-WEST ALLEY BETWEEN FOURTH <br />AND FIFTH STREETS AND FRENCH AND MORTIMER STREETS was <br />adopted on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded <br />by Councilman Ortiz and unanimously (4-0) carried. Prior <br />to the adoption of the Resolution, the public hearing was <br />opened by Vice Mayor Vernon S. Evans. The Public Works <br />Director, Ronald Wolford, stated that the abandonment <br />was in the redevelopment project area and that the abandon- <br />ment was recommended by the Planning Commission and the <br />Redevelopment Commission. There were no speakers in <br />opposition to the abandonment and the public hearing was <br />closed. CA 14 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 75-107, <br />OF A PORTION OF HAZARD AVENUE A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />WEST OF HARBOR BOULEVARD CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF HAZARD AVENUE WEST <br />OF HARBOR BOULEVARD was adopted on the motion of Councilman <br />Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ortiz and unanimously (4-0) <br />carried. Prior to the adoption of the Resolution, the <br />public hearing was opened by Vice Mayor Vernon S. Evans. <br />The Public Works Director stated that the real property <br />two feet wide and 332 feet long had been dedicated for <br />street purposes but now is in excess of the 42' needed <br />from the center line; and that the Planning Commission had <br />recommended the abandonment.
