Evans at 2:10 P. M., <br />in the Council Chambers of the City Hall Annex, 530 North Ross Street, <br />Santa Ana. <br /> <br />The following members of the Authority responded to the roll call: <br /> <br />Ray Villa <br />Wade Herrin <br />Lorin Griset <br /> <br />Harry K. Yamamoto <br />Vernon S. Evans <br /> <br />Chairman Jerry M. Patterson arrived at 2:15 P. M. <br /> <br />There were also present by invitation the following: <br /> <br />Bruce Spragg, Secretary Pro Tem <br />James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority <br />Florence L Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Con Bliss, Reporter <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The full reading of the <br />Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting and the Adjourned <br />Regular Meeting of October 16, 1972 was waived and the Minutes were <br />unanbnously approved as mailed on motion of Commissioner Herrin <br />seconded by Commissioner Yamamoto. <br /> <br />SECTION 23 LEASED HOUSING <br />PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION <br />REPORT <br /> <br />The Commissioners <br />considered a report from <br />the Secretary Pro Tem, <br />dated November 16, 1972, <br />recommending bnplementation of the Leased Housing Program by <br />bnmediate recruitment of a full-tbne Housing Coordinator and Clerk. <br /> <br />Commissioner Herrin stated that he had understood that consideration <br />would be given to employing someone who was already established in <br />the business of administrating rental properties, someone who would <br />be able to be more effective with a high degree of efficiency insofar <br />as the expenditure of public funds is concerned; and that he would prefer <br />that method of bnplementation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Griset concurred and stated that he was not prepared to <br />move ahead with the recommendation until information was presented <br />regarding the possibilities of an agreement with people who are <br />experienced in property nlanagement with a proven record of capability <br />in providing housing for low-income and minorities in the area. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
