RESOLUTION 76-32 Councilman Evans' <br />PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER motion to approve <br />ADOPTED the revised Classifi- <br /> cation Specification <br />for Public Information Officer, and to adopt the following <br />resolution, was seconded by Councilman Brandt, and carried <br />kS:l), with Councilman Yamamoto dissenting: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-32 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SEC- <br />TION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO REALLOCATE <br />THE CLASS OF PUBLIC INFORM-~TION OFFICER TO A <br />MORE EQUITABLE SALARY RANGE. <br /> <br />CA 50.1 <br /> <br />Councilman Evans suggested that a different title to more <br />accurately describe the position would be appropriate. <br /> <br />For related Council Action, see Minutes Page 98. <br /> <br />HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION On motion of Council- <br />ATTENDANCE REPORT man Evans, seconded <br />FILED by Councilman Brandt, <br /> Council unanimously <br />C6:0) received and filed the Attendance Report of the Human <br />Relations Commission, which was prepared pursuant to Coun- <br />cil's request of February 17, 1976. <br /> <br />Council requested the Mayor to write to the members of the <br />Commission emphasizing the importance of attendance and <br />commencing meetings on time, at the same time acknowledging <br />the valuable contribution the Commission has made to the <br />City through its total involvement in community affairs. CA 131.1 <br /> CA 80.9 <br /> <br />HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION In response to the <br />STATE-WIDE CONFERENCE - LONG BEACH request of the Human <br />APPROVEU WITH MODIFICATION Relations Commission, <br /> approval was given <br />for attendance at the State-wide Human Relations Commission <br />Conference in Long Beach March 18-21, 1976, by eight Commis- <br />sioners, including-a one-night stay at the Queen Mary Hotel <br />for Commissioner Rudy Moreno, on the motion of Councilman <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried (4:2), with <br />Councilmen Ortiz and Yamamoto dissenting. A prior motion <br />to approve the request as submitted by the Chairperson of <br />the Commission, was withdrawn by the maker of the motion <br />Councilman Yamamoto, and the second Councilman Ward. CA 131.1 <br /> <br />ANNUAL AFFIRMATIVE ACTION The annual Affirmative <br />PROGRESS REPORT Action Progress Report <br />FILED dated February 20, <br /> 1976, from the Person- <br />nel Board, was received and filed, on the motion of Council- <br />man Evans, seconded by Councilman Brandt, and carried (6:0). <br /> CA 50.4 <br /> <br />LOSSAN CORRIDOR STUDY As recommended by <br />TRAC RECOMMENDATION the Transportation <br />APPROVED Advisory Committee <br /> in its letter dated <br />February 25, 1976, Staff was authorized to make contact <br />with the LOSSAN Corridor Study team to ask that the Route <br />57 Corridor be included in the scope of the SCAG Study, on <br />the motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman <br />Brandt, and carried (5:1), with Councilman Ward dissenting. <br /> CA 29.10 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />96 MARCH 1, 1976 <br /> <br /> <br />
