CA 13.3 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION GIFT OF Mayor Garthe announced <br />SOVIET ENCYCLOPEDIA that Radio Station KWIZ <br />TO SANTA ANA LIBRARY had presented the 18 <br /> volume Great Soviet <br />Encyclopedia to the Santa Ana Public Library; stated that it <br />is the first Russian encyclopedia printed in English, and that <br />it is available at the Santa Ana Library for inspection; and <br />expressed appreciation to KWIZ for its generous gift. CA 80.7 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Following an oral <br />COUNTY FUNDED SOCIAL PROGRAMS report by City Manager <br />NOTIFICATION REQUESTED Bruce Spragg that <br /> the County has approxi- <br />mately 25 social programs funded by the County operating in <br />the City of Santa Ana; that these programs never come to the <br />attention of the City unless they conflict in some respect With <br />the City's zoning code; that the City should be advised of the <br />intention to establish such programs in the City, on the <br />motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />and carried (6:0) unanimously, the Board of Supervisors will <br />be requested to notify the City when it intends to fund a <br />social program in the City of Santa Ana. CA 112.1 <br /> <br />BLUE & WHITE CAB COMPANY After advising the <br />INSURANCE EXPIRED Council that the <br />AUTHORIZED SUIT liability insurance <br /> of Blue & White Cab <br />Company has expired, the City Attorney requested and was <br />given the authority to file suit for an injunction against <br />the operation of Blue & White Cabs in the City of Santa Ana <br />until the required liability insurance is provided, on the <br />motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Brandt, <br />and carried (6:0) unanimously.
