Reiter of the First Baptist Church.- CA 80.17 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION PRESENTATION <br />"SERVICES FOR THE BLIND <br />COMMUNITY AWARENESS" <br /> <br />honoring his organization by Mayor <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Judge, Assistant <br /> Director of Services <br /> for the Blind, was <br /> presented a Proclamation <br />Garthe. CA 46 <br /> <br />BICENTENNIAL SALUTE BY The Korean Teenlife <br />KOREAN "TEENLIFB SINGERS" Singers entertained <br /> the Council and its <br /> audience by singing <br />three songs as a Bicentennial Salute to America. Field <br />Director, Reverend Paul J~ Park, expressed his great appre- <br />ciation for the kindness bestowed upon him and other orphans <br />by American citizens. Reverend Park then presented to the <br />Mayor a large pictorial book about Korea. Mayor Garthe <br />accepted with appreciation of the Council and the citizens <br />of Santa Aha. CA 75A <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Mayor Garthe announced <br />GOLDEN CITY AWARDS BANQUET the 8olden City Awards <br />INVITATION EXTENDED Banquet to be-held on <br /> November 4, 1976 at <br />the Saddleback Inn to honor the various individuals and groups <br />who have made outstanding contributions to the citizens of <br />Santa Ana, and he invited everyone to attend. CA 151.1 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - VA 76-44; Mayor Garthe announced <br />CUP 76-21; ORDINANCE NS-1527 that this was the time <br />APPROVED; FIRST READING place for the public <br /> hearing on the proposed <br />use of land at 1401 North Williams Street, the first considera- <br />tion being the Negative Declaration, followed by the proposed <br />rezone from R4 to the R4*PRD District, a Variance to allow <br />a single family detached condominium project with less than <br />the required 15-foot separation between main buildings and <br />with less than the required 50% open space and finally a con- <br />ditional use permit to permit a single family residential <br />condominium project and to allow the sale of condominium units <br />and lots in conformance with the R4-PRD District. <br /> <br />Charles Zimmerman, Planning Director, stated that the subject <br />property has 584 feet of frontage on Wellington Avenue and 645 <br />feet of frontage on Williams Street, and contains 8~2 acres; <br />that the present zoning is R4 multiple family residential; <br />that the density proposed for the single family detached resi- <br />dential condominium project is 6.5 units per acre; and that <br />following two public hearings the Planning Commission unanimously <br />recommended approval. <br /> <br />There was no one in the audience to speak on this subject; <br />Mayor Garthe closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />On the motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Ward, <br />approved unanimously (4:0), the Negative Declaration was ap- <br />proved and filed, and Ordinance No. NS-1527 as follows was <br />placed on first reading: <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 405 OCTOBER 26,1976 <br /> <br /> <br />
