ORAL COMMUNICATION City Manager Bruce Spragg <br />LEAGUE TASK FORCE - BANKING announced that he had <br />& HOUSING COMMITTEE received a telephone call <br />NOMINATED MAYOR & VICE MAYOR from our "Man in Washing- <br /> ton" Bill Morgan asking <br />for nominations for elective representatives to a League of <br />Cities Task Force to work with the Banking and Housing Commit- <br />tee on the re-enactment of the Community Development Program. <br />The Council nominated Mayor Garthe on the unanimously carried <br />(6:0) motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Bricken; and as an alternate Vice Mayor Evans on the unanimously <br />carried (6:0) motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Brandt. Mayor <br />LEGAL MATTERS Garthe recessed the <br /> meeting to an Execu- <br /> tive session called <br />to discuss pending litigation; the meeting reconvened at <br />$:00 P.M. with the same Council members present. <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION Supervisor Ralph <br />SUPERVISOR DIEDRICH Diedrich attended <br />REVENUE SHARING FUNDS the Council meeting <br /> to personally present <br />to the City two County Revenue Sharing checks for City <br />projects: One for $117,367, for the Senior Citizens Ser- <br />vice Center building, and the other for $20,000, for the <br />renovation of the Newhope Fire Station to a community <br />center. Mr. Diedrich stated that the County of Orange had <br />tried to identify the problems of our joint citizens, and <br />hopefully address them; that there had been additional <br />discussions with Mayor Garthe and Councilman Brandt into <br />other fields; and that it seemed appropriate that the new <br />Supervisor concur with the final decision.
