ORAL COMMUNICATIONS As recommended by Fire <br />FIRE PROTECTION MASTER PLAN Chief, B. J. Thompson, <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE in his report dated <br />APPROVED November 18, 1976, a Fire <br /> Protection Master Plan <br /> Advisory Committee was <br />authorized with 22 members, listed below, to be appointed for <br />a period of six months, on the motion of Councilman Bricken, <br />seconded by Councilman Yamamoto and carried (4:0) unanimously: <br />Perry Babcock, Ed Black, Raymond J. Casciari, Lucy Diaz, Betty <br />Jo Elliott, Robert Gallant, Fred Gillett, Harold Jenkins, <br />Richard Keesee, Steven Knoblock, Jean LaLonde, Bill Largent, <br />Reverend A. L. Lewter, Marty Martinez, Manuel Morones, <br />Richard Neill, Ernest Norton, Dorothy Price, Sadie Reid, <br />Phillip Robertson, Albert Salgado, and Charles Terry. <br /> CA 64.4 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Brandt stated <br />CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION PLAN that due to the limited <br />LETTER AUTHORIZED time available at the <br /> Public Hearing held by <br /> the State Transportation <br />Board on November 23, 1976, Santa Aha representatives were <br />unable to present the statement prepared opposing the repeal <br />of Article 19 (old Article 26), opposing the imposition of <br />smog, energy and congestion charges, in particular giving such <br />authority to SCAG, and opposing the use of road user funds to <br />make health or welfare payments. On the motion of Councilman <br />Ortiz, seconded by Councilman Brandt and carried (4:0) unani- <br />mously, Mayor Garthe was authorized to send a letter to the <br />State Transportation Planning Task Force setting out Santa <br />Ana's views on the proposed transportation plan, CA 113.5 <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />was reconvened. <br /> <br />At 6:15 p.m. Mayor Garthe <br />called a recess; at <br />6:25 p.m. the meeting <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />RESOLUTION "HONORING EUGENE GRISET <br />100TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY" <br /> <br />Mr. Eugene Griset was <br />present, along with <br />family members, to <br />receive a Council <br />Resolution adopted <br /> <br />today in his honor. Mayor Garthe read the Resolution which <br />noted some of the achievements and highlights of Mr. Griset's <br />100 years. He stated that Mr. Griset is probably best known <br />for his dedication to the spiritual well being of his fellow <br />men. Mr. Griset accepted the Resolution while his grandson <br />snapped pictures of the occasion. <br /> <br /> CA 73B <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT At 6:35 p.m. on the <br /> motion of Councilman <br /> Brandt, seconded by <br />Councilman Yamamoto, the meeting was adjourned to 12:15 p.m. <br />on December 6, 1976 at Campesino Park for dedication ceremo- <br />nies and luncheon. <br /> <br /> FLOP,~.NCEI.
