CA 45.3 <br /> <br />DEATH PENALTY LEGISLATION Mayor Garthe was <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES RESOLUTION authorized to support <br />AUTHORIZED SUPPORT Orange County Division, <br /> League of Cities Reso- <br />lution No. 2-?? in support of death penalty legislation <br />which is consistent with U. S. Supreme Court decision guide- <br />lines, on the motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Council- <br />man Bricken, and carried 5:1, with Councilman Ward dissenting. <br />The resolution was submitted to the Council by Milan Dostal, <br />Chairman, Division Resolutions Committee, with his letter of <br />January 25, 1977 asking that delegates be prepared to vote <br />at the Executive Committee meeting February 10, 1977. CA S? <br /> CA 148.1 <br /> <br />ANNEXATION - SANTA ANA RIVER- On the motion of <br />HARBOR-FOUNTAIN VALLEY LIMITS Councilman Evans, <br />REFERRED; REFERRAL 32-76 DELETED seconded by Council- <br /> man Ward, and carried <br />6:0 unanimously, the proposed annexation of territory between <br />Santa Ana River, Harbor Boulevard, and the Fountain Valley <br />City Limits North of Edinger Avenue was referred to Staff to <br />incorporate whatever is necessary to prepare the matter'for <br />election; the Staff was directed to prepare two proposals, <br />one with a condition that the property owners assume the <br />costs of certain public imrpovements, such as necessary <br />drainage and street lighting, and one proposal without <br />any condition precedent to annexation. Council Referral <br />Item No. 32-76 was also deleted from the Summary by the <br />foregoing motion. <br /> <br />One of the property owners of the area was present. Mrs. E. <br />J. Euranich stated that she would prefer to annex to Santa <br />Aha and feels that others would also like to annex to this <br />City.
