BID AWARD - PROJECT 8505 Contract was awarded to <br />NEWHOPE BRANCH LIBRARY KRW Corporation, La <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 165 Habra, to construct the <br />APPROVED Newhope Branch Library, <br /> Project 8505, on the <br />basis of lowest responsible and best bidder in the total amount <br />of $413,869, and Appropriation Adjustment #165 transferring <br />$52,000 from the Library Reserve to the Newhope Branch Library <br />account to complete the funding of Project 8505 was approved, <br />on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Evans <br />and carried 6:0 unanimously. CA 56 <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 166 The modification of the <br />JEROME PARK MODIFICATION Jerome Park south/east <br />APPROVED ball diamond to accom- <br /> modate Senior Little <br />League was authorized by the approval of Appropriation Adjust- <br />ment #166 to transfer $5,500 from Acquisition and Development <br />Account #505-470 to the Jerome Park account, on the unanimously <br />approved 6:0 motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded by Council- <br />man Ward. CA 65.5 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Evans produced <br />ELECTION CAMPAIGN SIGNS a number of campaign signs <br /> which he stated were at- <br /> tached to the telephone <br />pole in front of his house, and asked Staff what the City's policy <br />is with regard to this practice. City Manager Bruce Spragg <br />stated that letters had been sent to all candidates requesting <br />their cooperation to refrain from posting signs in the public <br />right of way, and that the Police Department routinely is <br />handling complaints about such signs. Mr. Evans registered <br />his complaint.
