Within the foregoing motion, Council received and filed the quarterly financial report of the Inter-County Airport Authority for the period ended March $1, 1977. CA 98.2 RESOLUTION 77-47 Council adopted the STREET CONSTRUCTION/IMPROVEMENT following resolution ADOPTED unanimously 6:0, on the motion of Council- man Ward, seconded by Councilman Bricken: RESOLUTION NO. 77-47 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE 1978 SECTION 2156 REPORT. (Report of construction and/or improvement of roads and streets and estimates of future road and street needs.) CA 29 RESOLUTION 77-48 Councilman Ward's PREVAILING WAGE RATES - PUBLIC motion to adopt the WORKS CONTRACTS - ADOPTED following resolution was seconded by Councilman Garthe, and carried unanimously 6:0: RESOLUTION NO. 77-48 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ASCERTAINING AND DETERMINING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKMAN, OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS, IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. CA 99 SCAG ADVISORY COMMITTEE A letter dated April 5, 1977 REQUEST - APPROVED from Southern California Association of Governments President, Dennis Hans- berger, requested elected officials to volunteer for committee assignments for the Association. Councilman Brandt's willing- ness to serve on the Transportation and Utilities Committee and Councilman Yamamoto's continued interest in serving on the Human Services Committee were endorsed by Council on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and carried 6:0 unanimously. CA 80.1 CA 141 USE OF SENIOR CENTER FOR AUCTION A letter of request dated BY FEEDBACK FOUNDATION April 6, 1977 for the use APPROVED; USE OF LIQUOR DENIED of the Senior Center in Birch Park for a fund rais- ing art auction for the Feedback Foundation, Inc., on May 22, 1977 was approved on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried 5:1, with Councilman Bricken dissenting. Contained in the motion was the denial of the request to sell beer and wine in connection with the auction based on the Municipal Code Section 31-1(23) prohibition of such activity in City parks. A discussion of the matter was followed by a motion by Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Bricken to direct Staff to prepare a report and recommendation regard- ing use of beer and wine at City facilities; the motion failed 2:4, with Councilmen Garthe, Ortiz, Yamamoto and Mayor Evans dissenting.
