CA 80.1 <br /> CA 141 <br /> <br />USE OF SENIOR CENTER FOR AUCTION A letter of request dated <br />BY FEEDBACK FOUNDATION April 6, 1977 for the use <br />APPROVED; USE OF LIQUOR DENIED of the Senior Center in <br /> Birch Park for a fund rais- <br />ing art auction for the Feedback Foundation, Inc., on May 22, <br />1977 was approved on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded <br />by Councilman Ward, and carried 5:1, with Councilman Bricken <br />dissenting. Contained in the motion was the denial of the <br />request to sell beer and wine in connection with the auction <br />based on the Municipal Code Section 31-1(23) prohibition of such <br />activity in City parks. A discussion of the matter was followed <br />by a motion by Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Bricken <br />to direct Staff to prepare a report and recommendation regard- <br />ing use of beer and wine at City facilities; the motion failed <br />2:4, with Councilmen Garthe, Ortiz, Yamamoto and Mayor Evans <br />dissenting.
