CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were <br />ITEMS REMOVED & removed from the Consent <br />DISSENTING VOTES Calendar: Item 13 B by <br /> Councilman Garthe; Item <br />5 D by Mayor Evans; Items 6, 12 A and 12 E by Councilman Ward; <br />Item 7 A by Dale Price representing the Applicant (Madco Enter- <br />prises). Dissenting votes were registered by Councilman Bricken <br />on Items 4 A through 4 I, inclusive; Councilman Yamamoto on <br />Items 4 A, 4 B and 4 E; Councilman Ward on Item 3 C; and Mayor <br />Evans on Items 10 and 12 J. <br /> <br />Councilman Bricken suggested that Staff prepare a City map <br />indicating existing ABC facilities. He also stated that he <br />intends to vote against every Alcoholic Beverage License request <br />until he has received sufficient information to make the neces- <br />sary judgments, because of problems that may develop from an over- <br />supply of these types of licenses in the community. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />Council approved the rec- <br />ommendations of Staff on <br />the following Consent <br />Calendar Items: <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Approved the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meetings of May 2 <br />and May 16, 1977. <br /> <br />BID CALLS Approved plans and specifica- <br /> tions and authorized advertise- <br /> ment for bids on the following; <br />and approved the recommended funding for Project 8066B: <br /> <br />PROJECT 1388 - Modify traffic signal at Bristol Street <br />and Memory Lane. <br /> <br />PROJECT 1401 - Construct cul-de-sac on Elm Street at <br />Bristol Street. <br /> <br />PROJECT 1402 - Construct cul-de-sac on Mortimer Street <br />at Civic Center Drive. (Appropriation Adjustment #288) <br /> <br />PROJECT 8066 B - South Coast Bike Trail between Warner <br />and Segerstrom. CA 89 <br /> <br />BID AWARDS Rejected the bids from Flexible <br /> Municipal Sales Co., Southwest <br /> Sewer Equipment, and International <br />Harvester Corp., as being non-responsive to a single unit <br />system specification; and awarded the following on basis <br />of lowest responsible and best bidder for a single-unit High <br />Velocity Sewer Pipe Cleaner: <br /> <br />SPEC 77-007 - One high velocity sewer pipe cleaner <br />(replacement); awarded to Carmenita Truck Sales, Inc., <br />Santa Fe Springs, in the total amount of $74,477.62. <br /> <br />Awarded the following on basis of lowest responsible <br />and best bidder: <br /> <br />SPEC 77-012 - Storage shelving for Bowers Museum; <br />awarded to Shelf Master, Inc., Orange, in the total <br />amount of $10,217.18. <br /> <br />PROJECT 2038 Install reflective raised pavement <br />markers; awarded to Cote Mark, Inc., Compton, in the <br />total amount of $99,828.30.
