NS-1380 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY REPEALING SEC- <br />TION 16-7 AND ADDING SECTION 1-17 TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />AUTHORITY FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES TO <br />ISSUE CITATIONS FOR VIOLATIONS OF PORTIONS OF THE SANTA <br />ANA MUNICIPAL CODE. CA 47; CA ?9 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1385 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF <br />ADULT ACTIVITY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADOPTED EXTENDING ORDINANCE NO. <br /> NS-13?0 FOR AN ADDITIONAL <br />FOUR MONTHS AND PROHIBITING ADULT ACTIVITY USES FOR SUCH INTERIM <br />PERIOD PENDING AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING PROVISIONS OF THE MUNI- <br />CIPAL CODE was placed on second reading and adopted, with the <br />modification to allow sale of an existing business during the <br />moratorium, on the motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by <br />Councilman Garthe, and carried 6:1, with Councilman Yamamoto <br />dissenting. <br /> <br />John DiFiori, 1700 West McFadden, stated that he had been the <br />operator of Elite Massage for the past seven years; that he <br />had made arrangements for the sale of his business; that he <br />had discussed the matter with the City Attorney and been advised <br />that he interpreted the moratorium as prohibiting the issuance <br />of a business license to a new operator, which would preclude <br />the successful sale of his business; and that he would like <br />Council to amend the moratorium ordinance to allow him to close <br />the proposed sale of his massage business. CA 91 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-110 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />APPEAL 381 - EX 77-18 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />417 N. RAITT - ADOPTED SANTA ANA AFFIRMING THE <br /> DECISION OF THE ZONING <br />ADMINISTRATOR DENYING MINOR EXCEPTION NO. 77-18 TO EXPAND AN <br />EXISTING BEER BAR AT 417 NORTH RAITT STREET, WHICH IS WITHIN <br />300 FEET OF RESIDENTIAL USES, AND DENYING APPEAL NO. 381 was <br />adopted on the motion of Councilman Garthe, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Brandt, and carried 5:2, with Councilmen Bricken and <br />Ortiz dissenting. CA 13.5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77-111 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS - BIDS COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ADOPTED SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br />TO DESTROY RECORDS OF UNSUCCESSFUL BIDS, WHICH WERE FILED BY <br />HER ON OR BEFORE JUNE 30, 1975 was adopted on the motion of <br />Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Garthe, and carried <br />5:2, with Councilmen Bricken and Yamamoto dissenting.
