Authorized exemption of C£TA Assistant Animal Control <br /> Officer from CETA layoff schedule; <br /> <br />2. Authorized CETA funding of the position until Septem- <br /> ber 30, 1978 or until Federal funding is terminated; <br /> <br />Authorized conversion of the position to a full-time <br />permanent City position when Federal funding is no <br />longer available; and <br /> <br />4. CA 131.11 <br /> CA 131 <br /> <br />CITY SPACE NEEDS - SPEC 77-069 On a 4:3 vote, the motion <br />REFERRAL ITEM 9-77 - ADVERTISEMENT of Councilman Ward, <br />FOR BIDS AUTHORIZED seconded by Councilman <br /> Ortiz, dissented to by <br />Councilmen Garthe and Bricken and Mayor Evans, to authorize <br />advertisement for bids for 4,000 square feet of office space <br />for the Manpower and Housing Divisions of the Community Rela- <br />tions Department (SPEC 77-069), and to delete Council Referral <br />Item No. 9-77 from the Summary, carried. <br /> <br />The Staff report prepared by Dennis Yata dated September 21, <br />1977 stated that because of the 33.4% increase in Police Depart- <br />ment personnel during the past three years, additional space is <br />needed; the space made available by moving the Community Rela- <br />tions Divisions will be utilized for expansion of Police Depart- <br />ment offices.
