Robert Gresham, Director of Recreation and Parks stated that <br />the existing agreement would expire on September 16; that staff <br />had some serious reservations about extending the agreement <br />to November because of the football games scheduled by the <br />school districts that use the field beginning September 21 and <br />sodding required for that use. <br /> <br />Council referred the request to staff with instructions to <br />meet with the representatives of the Santa Ana Unified School <br />District, Rancho Santiago College District and Mater Dei to <br />see what arrangements might be made to accommodate the request <br />and to report back to Council on September 5, on the motion of <br />Councilman Brandt, seconded by Mayor Evans and carried 5:1, <br />with Councilman Yamamoto dissenting.
