<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />MINUTES - <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />May 7, 1973 <br /> <br />participation as a method for financing developments and that several <br />members of the Agency had publicly stated no federal or state funds <br />would be used; that the development would be financed by local money; <br />and that a policy should be declared whereby eminent domain would only <br />be effected for street widening and for building public facilities to <br />benefit the public and not for private use. <br /> <br />Mr. Gilmaker offered to serve as a member and requested appointment <br />to the Project Area Committee. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY ADOPTING RULES FOR <br />OWNER PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA PURSUANT TO <br />THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT ACT, SECTION 33339 <br />AND SECTION 33345 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE <br />was adopted by title only on motion of Commissioner Ward seconded by <br />Commissioner Yamamoto and carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 73-4 <br />RULES FOR OWNER <br />PARTICIPATION <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Ward, Yamamoto, Garthe, Griset <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Evans <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Markel, Patterson <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY ADOPTING CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA RULES TO EXTEND <br />REASONABLE PREFERENCE TO PERSONS IN BUSINESS PURSUANT TO <br />THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT ACT was adopted on <br />motion of Commissioner Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner Ward and <br />carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 73-5 <br />RULES OF PREFERENCE <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Yamamoto, Ward, Garthe, Griset <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Evans <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Markel, Patterson <br /> <br />An agreement dated May 7, 1973, <br />between the Community Redevelop- <br />ment Agency of the City and <br />O'Melveny and Myers, Attorney's, to provide certain legal services relative <br />to the adoption of the redevelopment plan, was approved and its execution <br />by the Chairman and Secretary was authorized on the unanimously approved <br />motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Yamamoto. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br />BOND COUNSEL <br /> <br />-2- <br />
