<br />. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />December 11, 1974 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency was <br />called to order by Vice Chairman Vernon S. Evans, at 4:05 P.M., <br />in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. Roll call was <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />John Garthe <br />Harry K. Ogden Markel <br />Lorin Griset* <br /> <br />* Commissioner Griset arrived at 4:10 P.M., and Chairman Patterson <br />arrived at 4:20 P.M. <br /> <br />The following persons were also present: <br /> <br />Richard Goblirsch, Executive Director <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Manager <br />James A. Withers, Agency Counsel <br />Ronald Wolford, Director of Public Works <br />Bill Hill, Chairman of the Community Redevelopment <br />Commission <br />Lynn O'Dell, Reporter for The Register <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of <br />November 13, 1974, <br />presented, on the unanimously carried motion <br />Evans, seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br /> <br />were approved as <br />of Vice Chairman <br /> <br />The Executive Director <br />reported that the <br />transit terminal study, <br />prepared by Lampman <br />Associates, has been completed; that the report was presented to <br />the Board of Supervisors on December 2; that action by the Board <br />had been continued to December 16; and that the Board had passed <br />a resolution approving the transit terminal as a transit district <br />priority for federal funding under FAU (Federal Aid to Urban Areas). <br /> <br />MULTIMODAL <br />TRANSIT TERMINAL <br />REPORT <br /> <br />He further stated that the Redevelopment Commission had approved <br />the report on December 10, and recommended approval by the Agency. <br />He then introduced Mr. James Binckley of the Orange County Transit <br />District, adding that the District supports the Multimodal Terminal <br />in the downtown area within the Redevelopment Project Area. <br /> <br />Mr. Binckley stated that the Multimodal Terminal must be constructed <br />to properly serve the ultimate development of the core area which <br />would eventually include hotels, commercial activities and office <br />uses. <br /> <br />Commissioner Griset arrived at 4:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Binckley continued, stating that the facility would serve the <br />future Orange County Transit District mass transit system and the <br />present rapid transit system, in addition to providing a 250-car <br />garage; that it would become the hub of an integrated Multimodal <br />Transportation system for Orange County. <br />
