<br />MINUTES <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />February 4, 1974 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Agency approved the <br />concept of the proposed <br />Bunker Hill Project Tour, <br />scheduled for March ll, 1974, from 12:00 nOon to approximately 8:30 P.M., <br />as described in the memorandum dated January 25, 1974, to the City <br />Council from the Clerk of the Council, on the unanimously approved (6:0) <br />motion of Commissioner Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br />The motion further instructed staff to proceed with the necessary arrange- <br />ments and to invite the following persons to participate: Chamber of <br />Commerce President Dick Kopel and Howard Way, Chairman of the Project <br />Area Committee. <br /> <br />BUNKER HILL <br />PROJECT TOUR <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR <br />LEGAL SERVICES <br /> <br />The Agreement, for special <br />Legal Services as needed <br />by the Redevelopment Agency <br />Executive Director-Secretary and City Attorney, between the City and Gene <br />Jacobs, Attorney-at-Law, was approved and its execution by the Chairman <br />and Secretary was authorized on motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded <br />by Commissioner Ward and carried on a 5:1 vote with Commissioner Evans <br />dis senting . <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOP- <br />MENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADOPTING REVISIONS FOR THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 <br />was adopted and the Secretary's report, dated January 28, 1974, on the <br />revised budget and expenditures to date, was received and filed on motion <br />of Commissioner Griset, seco~ded by Commissioner Ward and carried on <br />a 5:1, vote with Commissioner Evans dissenting. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-2 <br />REVISED BUDGET, <br />FISCAL YEAR, 1973-74 <br /> <br />Commissioner Evans objected to the further expenditure of taxpayer's <br />funds for legal fees in conjunction with the suit filed by Mr. Joseph <br />Gilmaker to declare the Redevelopment Project Area illegal. The Agency <br />Counsel replied that he was following the instructions previously given by <br />the Agency in pursuing necessary legal remedies. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The re commendation of the <br />Community Redevelopment <br />Commission" di sapproving the site flelection, north side of Third Street <br />between Ros s and Birch Streets, in the Redevelopment Project Area, for <br />the proposed Senior Citizens Service Center, more fully de scribed in the <br />Secretary's memo to the Agency, dated January 30, 1974, was received <br />and filed, on motion of Commissioner Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner <br />Ward and carried on a 5d vote. with Commissioner Evans dissenting. <br /> <br />SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />The Executive Director- <br />Secretary gave an oral <br />progress report. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
