Councilman Serrato read a proclama- tion for Vietnam Veterans Week, May 28 through June 3, 1979, and presented the framed doct~nent to CA9o3 PUBLIC HEARING - VACATION The Vice Mayor opened the public PORTIONS OF MARTHA & PACIFIC hearing to consider the Negative RESOLUTION NO. 79-78 - ADOPTED Declaration and Vacation of a portion of Martha Lane west of Bristol Street and a portion of Pacific Avenue north of Washington Avenue. The Assistant Planner identified the property and s~m~narized the information contained in the staff report reviewed by Council on May 7, 1979. The Deputy Clerk of the Council reported no written communications. Raymond E. Baldridge, Jr., 1328 West Washington, spoke in opposition to the vacation. There were no other speakers for or against the vacation. The Vice Mayor closed the public hearing. Following discussion by the Council, MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Yamamoto, to approve and file the Negative Declaration and adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION NO. 79-78 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA VACATING A PORTION OF MARTHA LANE WEST OF BRISTOL STREET AND A PORTION OF PACIFIC AVENUE NORTH OF WASHINGTON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. NS-1489 - FIRST READING Declaration and Amendment Applica- tion No. 816 to rezone property located on the south side of Roe Drive between Main Street and the Santa Bna Freeway from the Single Family Residence and Multiple Family Residence Height District II Districts to the General Commercial Height District II District. The Assistant Planner identified the property and su~narized the information contained in the staff report dated May 15, 1979, prepared by the Planning Department.
