ORDINANCE NO. AYES: NOES: BRICKEN, GRISET, LUXEMBOURGER, MARKEL, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO NONE CA 78 PUBLIC HEARING - RESOLUTION 79-127 WEED, RUBBISH & GARBAGE ABATt~4ENT ADOPTED The Mayor opened the public hearing to consider adoption of Resolution No. 79-127 affirming the 1979 Weed Abatement costs. The Director of Public Works summarized the staff report dated July 27, 1979, prepared by Public Works Administrative Officer. The Deputy Clerk of the Council reported no written conmmmications received. There were no speakers for or against the resolution. The Mayor closed the public hearing. B~)TION was made by Yamamoto, seconded by Bricken, to adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION NO. 79-127 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA OVERRULING OBJECTIONS TO AND CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS PERTAINING TO THE COSTS OF WEED, RUBBISH AND GARBAGE ABATMv~; MAKING, CONFIRMING, AND LEVYING ASSES~S FOR SU(]~ COSTS; AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF TO BE FILED WITH THE COUNTY AUDITOR, ASSESSOR AND TAX COLLECTOR. AYES: NOES: BRICK~N, GRISET, L~URGER, MARKEL, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO NONE CA 11 RECESS The meeting was recessed at 10:35 p.m. ~nd reconvened at 10:45 p.m. with all Council members present. PROPOSALS FOR EXPANSION The Musemn Director outlined OF BOWERS MUSEUM the reco~nendations contained APPROVED IN CONCEPT in his report to Council dated July 30, 1979, and urged the Council to approve the proposals for formation of development and endow- ment organization and implementation of operational procedures concerning plarming and development of the expansion of the Museum. Following discussion, MOTION was made by Bricken, seconded by Yamamoto to receive and file the report. AYES: NOES: BRICKI~, GRISET, LUXEMBOURGER, MARKEL, SERRATO, WARD, YAMAMOTO NONE MOTION was made by Bricken, seconded by Ward, to express the conmitment of Council to the concepts proposed in the report and to request recom- mendation from the Bowers Museum Board for implementation of the program and any suggested modifications by August 20, 1979. MOTION was made by Griset, seconded by Bricken, to delete the recommenda- tion for development of a program and list of candidates, including non- Santa Aha residents, for .City Council consideration to expand and/or replace trustees on the Bowers Museum Board for separate action.
