<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />carried unanimously (5:0) that the Downtown Development <br />Commission adopt the proposed Downtown Development Commission <br />jurisdictional boundaries for study, planning, marketing, <br />and development implementation purposes. <br /> <br />Having established a voting record as the Downtown Development <br />Commission, Chairman Luxembourger called the Community Redevelopment <br />Agency, which consists of the members of the Downtown Development <br />Commission, concurrently to order for the remainder of the <br />meeting. ' <br /> <br />Extension to Exclusive Right to Negotiate with the Barratt <br />Corporation for Development of the A-12 Site <br /> <br />Mr. Kooi deferred to Mr. David N. Ream, Executive Director <br />of Economic Development, for the staff presentation. Commis- <br />sioner Bricken reported a conflict, and was excused from the <br />room. Following a brief review of the issue by Mr. Ream, <br />Mr. Tim unger, the developer, asserted that the developer is <br />now "more comfortable" with the site pursuant to the 90-day <br />Exclusive Right to Negotiate. Chairman Luxembourger asked <br />Mr. Ream if contact had been made with owners of property <br />adjacent to the site, and Mr. Ream replied affirmatively and <br />assured the Commission that those property owners involved <br />in any way were aware of the proposed development. Commissioner <br />Young moved, and Commissioner Johnson seconded the motion to <br />grant a 60-day extension to the Exclusive Right to Negotiate <br />to the Barratt Corporation for the development of the A-12 <br />Site. The motion was carried unanimously (4:0). Commissioner <br />Bricken returned to the meeting upon conclusion of discussion. <br /> <br />Downtown Santa Ana Business Association - Waiver of Re a <br />0 BUSlness Promotl0n Start Up Expenses <br /> <br />Mr. Kooi delivered a brief summary of the issue. It was <br />moved by Commissioner Griset, seconded by Commissioner Young, <br />and unanimously carried (5:0) that the Downtown Development <br />Commission approve a waiver for repayment of start-up expenses <br />incurred by the Redevelopment Agency for the Downtown Santa <br />Ana Business Association in the amount of $13,118.56. <br /> <br />ent <br /> <br /> <br />ment <br /> <br />Due to a difficulty in locating and securing photo slides <br />which are either in use or in storage throughout City Hall, <br />Mr. Kooi requested that this item be deleted from this meeting's <br />agenda. In an affirmative response to the Chairman, Mr. <br />Kooi asserted that the presentation would be made at the <br />next regularily scheduled Commission meeting. <br /> <br />1f <br />
