Meehan, of CM Plaza, stated that they are <br />proposing 60.000 square feet of offices, 30.000 square feet <br />of retail and parking. This proposal is somewhat different <br />than the first proposal due to the fact that he had been <br />unable to secure an appropriate joint venture partner. Mr. <br />Meehan further stated that CM Plaza has entered into a joint <br />venture agreement with American Diversified Capital <br />Corporation. The building will be constructed by Equidon <br />and is being designed by Cbrbin Yamafugi. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Mrs. McGuigan, the City <br />Attorney responded that in order to consider Mr. Meehan's <br />proposal the Agency would have to continue the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Miller, representative of Hoger Stanton, 2219 Baker <br />Street. Santa Ana, California, addressed the Agency in favor <br />of the proposed park. <br /> <br />Mr. Wallace Davis, 540 N. Golden Circle Drive, Santa Ana, <br />California. addressed the Agency by stating that he was <br />representing the Masonic Temple and that they were totally <br />against a continuance. <br /> <br />After further disussion. a motion was made by Mr. Young, <br />seconded by Mr. Acosta and carried by the following roll <br />call vote to cancel the joint public hearing on the CM Plaza <br />development for the A-3 site. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Johnson, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young <br />Bricken <br />Gr iset <br /> <br />After further discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Young, <br />seconded by Mr. Johnson and carried by the following roll <br />call vote to provide the Cbunty of Orange with the <br />opportunity to submit to the Agency, by its meeting of <br />September 18. 1984, a proposal to develop the A-3 site as an <br />urban park with approximately 350 underground parking spaces <br />and a restaurant pad. This proposal must be in the form of <br />an executed Disposition and Development Agreement. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Johnson. Young <br />Acosta, Bricken. Luxembourger, McGuigan <br />Gr iset <br /> <br />Since this motion failed. Chairman Luxembourger requested <br />that the City Attorney explain the next procedure.
