<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />of property known as the A-3 site by the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana to CM Plaza. <br /> <br />Chairman Luxembourger then announced the public hearing open. <br />A motion was then made by Mr. Young, seconded by Mr. Johnson <br />and carried unanimously (7:0) to continue this item for 90 days <br />so as to allow the County to bring forward their proposal for <br />the site and to give staff adequate time to respond. <br /> <br />FASHION SQUARE REDEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Chairman Luxembourger invited Mr. Keith W. Douglas, representing <br />Fashion Square Associates, to address the Agency. Mr. Douglas <br />explained that he was present to make the Agency aware of the <br />fact that Fashion Square Associates would be submitting an <br />Owner Participation Agreement proposal in accordance with the <br />timetable that was before the Agency that evening. <br /> <br />A motion was then made by Mr. Griset, seconded by Mr. Johnson <br />and carried unanimously (7:0) to set the date of May 15,1984, <br />for the approval of an Owner Participation Agreement for the <br />redevelopment of Fashion Square both by the Redevelopment <br />Agency and the City Council. <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR EXTENSION TO EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE, GATEWAY <br />CENTER DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (A-2 SITE) <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Young, seconded by Mrs. McGuigan and <br />carried unanimously (7:0) to grant a 90-day extension to the <br />exclusive right to negotiate with Gateway Center Development <br />Company. <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR EXTENSION TO EXCLUSIVE <br />URBATEC (A-IO AND A-12 SITES) <br /> <br />RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE WITH <br /> <br />Chairman Luxembourger invited Mr. Charles McLung, attorney <br />representing Miguel Pulido of Ace Muffler Shop, to address the <br />Agency. Mr. McLung stated his client's business falls in the <br />development site A-lO and wished to state that they were told <br />they would be contacted by staff to explain the procedures for <br />relocation and have not to date been contacted. After <br />questioning from Mr. Bricken, Mr. Pulido said that he did talk <br />with Agency staff and they said that he would not be included <br />in the Urbatec development. <br /> <br />Mr. Young then stated that he would not support a 90-day <br />extension on the two sites as this firm had already been given <br />a great deal of time to finalize their agreement. <br /> <br />In response to a question from Mr. Young, Chairman Luxembourger <br />invited Mr. John MacLaurin, President of Urbatec, to address <br />the Agency. Mr. MacLaurin stated that the shopping center site <br />(A-lO) is now ready for a final agreement but that the extra <br />
