<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-140: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ORDERING <br />FORECLOSURE OF DELINQUENT ASSESSMENTS <br /> <br />Councilperson McGuigan inquired whether anyone had remitted delinquent <br />assessments to date, and David Ream, Executive Director/Economic <br />Development, reported that no such payments have been received. <br />Councilperson McGuigan asked if formal legal actions would result in <br />liens, and Mr. Ream explained that there may be property foreclosures, <br />just as in any tax debt. Councilperson Luxembourger asked what the <br />procedure is proposed to be. Roger Kooi, Downtown Development <br />Commission Director, answered that the ini tial step would be <br />notification and reaffirmation of property owners. Mr. Kooi asserted <br />that it is staff's desire to complete this initial activity in the next <br />60 days, inclusive of letters and personal contacts. Edward Cooper, <br />City Attorney, reported that the City would incur no additional expense <br />in enforcement activities since any fees would be collected from the <br />property owners. It was moved by Councilperson Young, seconded by Mayor <br />Griset, and unanimously carried (5:0) to adopt Resolution No. 85-140: A <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ORDERING <br />FORECLOSURE OF DELINQUENT ASSESSMENT. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency and the Downtown Development Commission, these <br />bodies were adjourned at 7: 25 PM to their respective next regularly <br />scheduled meetings. <br /> <br />k1 <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br /> <br />Rex Swanson, <br />Deputy City Manager/Development <br /> <br />Daniel E.
