Authorize staff to request proposals for consulting services to <br />assist in designing, furnishing and programming a state of the art <br />cable television center to be located in the proposed Centerpointe <br />mixed-use development. <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR THE APPRAISAL OF 307-309 WEST FOURTH STREET; A-2 SITE <br /> <br />~ursuant to the extensive coverage given to the preceding item, little <br />discussion occurred regarding this request for action. It was moved <br />by Vice Chairman Johnson, seconded by Chairman Griset, and carried <br />unanimously (7:0) that the Redevelopment Agency authorize the Chairman <br />of the Redevelopment Agency to execute a real property appraisal <br />contract with the firm of Gerald E. Schmitz and Associates for the <br />appraisal of property within the A-2 Site, specifically, 307-309 West <br />Fourth Street, for a fee not to exceed $4,500.00. <br /> <br />EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO NEGOTIATE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF THE A-12 SITE <br /> <br />TO <br /> <br />URBAN <br /> <br />PACIFIC <br /> <br />CORPORATION <br /> <br />FOR <br /> <br />Roger A. Kooi, Downtown Development Commission Director, provided <br />brief staff background for the A-12 site. Kevin Wicke, representing <br />Michael Reyes, and Urban Pacific Development Corporation architects <br />made a brief presentation regarding the proposed development. Two <br />hundred plus residential units are planned for the site. Pursuant to <br />the perusal of a model of the development, it was moved by Mr. Acosta, <br />seconded by Mr. Luxembourger, and carried unanimously (7:0) that the <br />Redevelopment Agency grant a 90-day Exclusive Right to Negotiate to <br />~the Urban Pacific Development Corporation for development of the <br />mended A-12 site, subject to the developer's payment of a $15,000 <br />good faith deposit. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL FOR A DOWNTOWN MUSIC AND PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM <br /> <br />Mr. Kooi introduced Edward V.
