<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned to Executive Session at 5:55 P.M. with <br />the Agency returning to the Council Chambers at 6:05 P.M. with all <br />members formerly present in attendance. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read the following statement when the <br />entered into Executive Session: <br /> <br />Members <br /> <br />Agency <br /> <br />THE LEGAL COUNSEL REQUESTS THAT THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY RECESS TO <br />CLOSED SESSION, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(A) TO <br />CONFER WITH ITS ATTORNEY REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION WHICH HAS <br />BEEN INITIATED FORMALLY, AND TO WHICH THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY IS A <br />PARTY . <br /> <br />The title of the litigation is CRA v. O'Campo, who resides at 1108 <br />East Fourth Street, Santa Ana, and with CRA v. Judy's Santa Ana, <br />Inc., in the Fashion Square Shopping Center located at 2800 North <br />Main Street, Santa Ana. <br /> <br />After returning to the Council Chambers, it was moved by Agency <br />Member Pulido, seconded by Agency Member May and carried <br />unanimously (7:0) that the City Attorney's office prepare an <br />Agreement for an advance of goodwill compensation in the amount of <br />$70,000.00 to Mr. O'Campo with a proviso that this amount will be <br />offset against any goodwill loss in the future. <br /> <br />AGENCY AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />There were none. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />Mr. Joe O'Campo, 1108 East Fourth Street, Santa Ana, addressed the <br />Agency concerning his planned relocation in the Grand Central <br />Building. He explained the problems he was having in trying to <br />obtain a liquor license, and was seeking the Agency's cooperation <br />in advance to get this license as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Chairman Young asked the City Manager whether <br />to make. <br /> <br />had <br /> <br />any <br /> <br />comments <br /> <br />he <br /> <br />The City Manager stated that a recommendation could not be made on <br />an ABC application at this time. <br /> <br />Chairman Young thanked Mr. 0 'Campo for his interest and <br />association with the City, and stated the Agency would work <br />him to successfully relocate his business. <br /> <br />long <br />with <br /> <br />-5- <br />
